Personalized kidney disease care.

When kidneys begin to fail, dialysis can help the body stay balanced by removing waste, salt and extra water to prevent them from building up in the body. Dialysis also can help maintain a safe level of some chemicals including sodium, potassium and bicarbonate. It also can help regulate blood pressure. Abri Health Care offers Peritoneal Dialysis services in select locations. By offering these services inside our community, our care team can help mitigate trauma transfer and make adjustments based on individual patient care plans.

Peritoneal Dialysis

With peritoneal dialysis, your blood can be cleaned inside your body. Our trained care team can help perform the dialysis procedure on our premises. Because the peritoneal dialysis process requires the dialysate solution to remain in the body for four or five hours before it can be drained, offering this procedure onsite allows a patient or resident go about their business during the long waiting time from the comfort of their own surroundings instead of a clinic waiting area.

Hemodialysis

Hemodialysis uses an artificial kidney to remove waste and extra chemicals from the blood. While Abri Health Care does not offer onsite hemodialysis in our communities, we can provide transportation to and from hemodialysis appointments and help a patient or resident keep their preferred appointment times.
